The AR Customer Service Specialist s responsible for working collaboratively with all Revenue Cycle functional areas, to maximize revenues by ensuring distribution of all patient statements and collecting patient payments to satisfy account receivable balances.   
 

Responsibilities

- Responsible for all inbound calls regarding insurance-related inquiries from patients, field staff and insurance carriers.
- Always displays a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and responds promptly to customer inquiries.
- Keeps records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints.
- Communicating and coordinating with coworkers to resolve customer complaints as necessary.
- Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process to People Leaders.
- Reviewing and mailing out all patient statements.
- Responsible for small balance write-offs to ensure appropriate and accurate patient statements are mailed.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support.
- Communicates to Cash Applications Team when credit card payments are updated on the tracker.
- Contacts patients to communicate a coordination of benefits issue and instruct patients on the resolution.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in customer service, preferably in medical field.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Accuracy in posting numbers.
- The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects required.
- Strong computer skills.
- Significant experience using Excel, and Word required.
- Self-starter who excels in a fast paced, data driven environment.
    
 
Target Pay: $18 - 21/hr
Work Location:  Hybrid schedule in Somerset, NJ OR Remote
